Did you know that Alberta invited 3,357 candidates through the AINP-Program?

As you well know, Alberta is home to the cities of Edmonton and Calgary, which are popular destinations - frequent for newly arrived immigrants to our country.

Oil and gas production has long boosted Alberta's economy, but information, technology, health services and other industries are gaining prominence as the province's government works to diversify beyond energy.

Due to this and the constant need to hire new employees in all sectors, the government annually offers the AINP program, as an alternative to access Canadian permanent residence.

To be considered for an Alberta nomination, candidates must be eligible for one of the three federal immigration programs administered by the Express Entry system (Class of Federal Skilled Workers, Class of Qualified Federal Trades and Canadian Experience Class).

The Alberta Express Entry Stream Program was introduced last year, which allows the province to search the federal Express Entry group for immigration candidates who meet the specified eligibility requirements and invite them to apply for a provincial nomination.

Express Entry candidates must have a CRS score of at least 300 points and be working in an occupation that "supports Alberta's economic development and diversification priorities", among other criteria, to be considered for a permanent residency nomination in Alberta.

While a job offer or previous job in Alberta is not required to be eligible, the AINP says that candidates with a job offer and / or work experience in Alberta, a degree from a post-secondary institution in Canada and / or a father, son or siblings already living in Alberta may have priority for an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination.

The recent publication states that 14 draws were conducted through its immigration flow aligned to the Express Entry so far in 2019, with a total of 3,357 invitations to request a provincial nomination for permanent residence in Canada for Entry candidates Express with an Integral Classification System score of 300 points.

This is significantly lower than the lowest score obtained through a Federal Express Entry draw so far this year, which was 438 points.

Importantly, the federal group by the AINP, the Fast Entry candidates who receive a NOI have only 30 days to submit a complete application for an Alberta provincial nomination.

If you are in search of your permanent residence and think you may qualify for this program, I invite you to review the following link. https://www.canadavisa.com/express-entry.html
