Who is Justin Trudeau?


After the surprising result of the recently passed federal elections, the ones ended up giving a majority government to the: "Liberal Party", result pretty obviously to want to know who is the leader of such a coalition, which is why we will give you some important information about the honorable mister: “Justin Trudeau, " our new Canadian Prime Minister.


Born on December 25, 1971, in Ottawa, rise as a Roman Catholic; he is the first child of Ex - Prime Minister: Justin Pierre Trudeau and Margaret Trudeau James.


Trudeau attended the College Jean-de-Brébeuf. He earned a degree in English Literature at McGill University (1994) and a Bachelor of Education at the University of British Columbia (1998).

After graduating, he worked as a teacher of French and mathematics in Vancouver, and then studied engineering at the Polytechnic School of Montreal, part of the University of Montreal.


He later began a master's degree in Environmental Geography at McGill University.



Justin Trudeau used his public profile to advocate for various reasons and even starred in the television miniseries called "The Great War", the CBC channel, which recounted Canada's participation in World War II. (2007).


His purely political career began when he was elected in the 2008 in a federal election to represent Papineau in the House of Commons. In 2009, he became the Liberal Party critic for Youth and Multiculturalism; consecutively the following year became critical for Youth - Citizenship and Immigration.


He was appointed in 2011 as critical for Postsecondary Education - Youth and Amateur Sport.


Trudeau in 2013 won a majority direction of the Liberal Party. After this, he began his candidacy to Parliament as Prime Minister, something really curious and worth to mention is that he started this race in third position preferences.


As Stephen Harper (Conservative Party) first place in the polls, followed by Tom Mulcair (NDP-Social Democratic Party).



Currently the new Prime Minister is married to Sophie Grégoire whom he met when both were children in Montreal. Grégoire and Trudeau became engaged in October 2004 and were married on May 28, 2005, in a Catholic ceremony in Sainte-Madeleine d'Outremont Church of Montreal.

They have three children: Xavier James (born October 2007), Ella-Grace Margaret (February 2009) and Hadrian (born February 2014).


The Trudeau family plan to move to 24 Sussex Drive, official residence of Canadian Prime Ministers once the property has been restored, this is the same house where Justin lived as a child when his father was serving the country in that government position.



On November 4, 2015 Justin officially will assume his mandate, because for that day has been planned the public oath of his votes, and from that moment he will be devoted to work on his ambitious agenda, which includes the following topics to perform in the first 90 days at the Parliament House:


-Equality of gender in the Cabinet. (November 4, 2015).


-Reception of 25,000 Syrian refugees before New Year.


-Reduce taxes on the middle class and increase these to those with incomes are greater or equal than $ 200,000 annually.


-Attend the Conference of the United Nations to reduce gas emissions and climate change (to be held in Paris on November 30, 2015).



Other important announcement to mention, but exempt from the 90-day term themes are:


-"Ending the armed support against Iraq”, restore humanitarian aid in the area; work on the reconstruction of schools, homes and hospitals.


Similarly work on the: “Marijuana Legalization", restricts the sale and distribution of drugs, taxing the marketing of this, and reduces crimes related to the substance traffic.


This is how; Mister Justin Trudeau is planning to start a "new political era" and his four-year term.
