Justin Trudeau officially visited Japan before his participation in the G7 meeting.

Our Prime Minister and his wife: Sofia Gregorie began an official visit last Tuesday May 24, 2016.

The scheduled route landed in Tokyo on their first visit to China, where a bilateral meeting was held with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, prior to the departure to the natural park of Ise-Shima with aim of participating in the summit G7 of 26 and 27 May 2016.

The liberal political agenda also included a visit to the Imperial Palace, where he was received by Akihito and Michiko Emperors and also included a meeting with representatives of Nippon automotive sector.

With his visit to Japan the Canadian leader sought to promote investment by Japanese companies in their country and vice versa.

Similarly he took this opportunity to promote Canada as an ideal country in terms of investment, as the auto industry represents an important niche to exploit for increasing job opportunities, strengthen the middle class, and growing economies bilaterally.

Also other topics were discussed as the agreement of France past year, global health initiatives, infrastructure for sustainable growth, and collaboration - during the meeting with Japanese Prime Minister current issues for both countries, as the implementation of the climate agreement signed at the Paris Convention touched Arctic science.

Finally the revitalization of the joint economic committee between Canada and Japan was discussed, the committee is an important forum focused on improving international relations of the two countries.

Referring to the issue Trudeau declare to the press: "That the improvement of trade relations with Japan, is one of the main priorities of our government, the growing partnership between Canada and Japan in innovation - science will directly contribute to our economic growth and benefit all Canadians".

If you dont know the meaning or significance of the "G7", we would like to inform you that corresponds to the seven most industrialized countries, sometimes also referred to as the seven major world powers.

In this important meeting they addressed issues such as: the economic slowdown in emerging countries, turbulence in stock markets and the international fight against terrorism and refugee crisis, among others.

They have also been developed in China several previous to the meeting of the leaders ministerial meetings.

In them, the G7 members have agreed:

- Promote the incorporation of women into the scientific sector.

- Cooperate to provide education to refugee and immigrant children.

- And advance the implementation of the Paris agreement on climate change.

An additional important fact to note happened during the meeting corresponds to the Philippines media, who reported that President-elect Rodrigo Duterte took the opportunity to issue a public apology regarding the abduction and murder committed in his country, to the Canadian citizen who was recently taken hostage, Mr. John Ridsdel.

These statements were issued by Duterete upon receipt of the sincere words of support and congratulatory Trudeau regarding his recent electoral victory.

Finally during the summit countries they agreed on the need for a flexible spending to stimulate global economic growth, noting that the timing and amount of money offered will depend on each country.

Although the diplomatic encounter has ended and it is clear that we will receive important information about the magnitude because of the issues and the countries involved undoubtedly they are of global concern.

In conclusion it should be noted that the participation of Justin Trudeau, and the role carried out by Canada, has fortunately received a positive evaluation by the government, citizenship and international community.
